What were your settings? You shot that at 3200? But in color?
I never tried that. I didn't have a tripod with me so I figured B&W would be best since the light was so many different colors I didn't want it to be too distracting on the contrast of rainy night pics. And by the time I got out, there was no more rain.

Nah, they were shot at ISO400 f4, ~4s each.
I think you're right though, getting a nice balance of colours + light at night can be hard, esp in the city - most of the time it just burns into yellow.
Was curious why you were shooting at f22 though?
Surely you could drop it to f8, have the same DOF and shoot at something like ISO 800 for the same results, but less noise?
