What's the problem with knowing details about events in our history? I happen to know excessive details about many serial killers, and "true crime" in general. Studying things of that nature gives you a unique perspective on the human psyche, plus, it makes great dinner conversation. As someone looking to make the leap into horror films, true crime and serial killers are excellent inspiration when writing.

Besides, Lycanthrope only pointed out what Dahmer liked. It's not like he was making a case for why "little asians and down-lo bros" were better meals...
