This system has Windows Vista Premium (64-bit) installed on it. I've used Vista before and didn't see any probs, but as soon as I started installing games and other applications, I realize what I was in for. I am now getting super slow browser loading times and flashes on the screen every now and then.

I am sure that one of the programs I installed, that installed ActiveX and Framework, messed things up. I've since tried to get the lates drivers for my graphics card, atc, but no help.

I may just install Windows XP on this system, or just return it. What do you guys recommend I do?

Figure out what you installed that fucked it up. Although gateway isn't known for building the best systems, I seriously doubt it has anything to do with that though... I love the replies here, It's vista! No it's 64bit! No it's gateway! Just dump it and overpay for same shit at apple.com!

lol..............

Well if i didn't know jack about computers i'd probably head on over to a forum that was for computer hardware and software.

Other than that, try to uninstall anything you don't need. If you can handle it just re-install vista x64 and watch what you install.
