it's good to see a double digit per day guy share this info directly.
people really need to put this crisis into perspective :
insanely high unemployment rates, forecast says we're do for more job cuts, layoffs and downsizing
the one thing people thought they could save in, realty, is in the shitter with the financial instutions that made it possible in the shitter too. equity was something most americans banked on.
mutual funds, stocks portfolios, pensions not looking good either.
if this was only for the US could safely assume atleast 33-40% of the 75% porn market is therefore struggling in one way or the other.
would need to assume the avg porn buyer was buying when he had some capital reserve that was either steady or growing, not just maxing his card on porn. now the credit lines are decreasing and the light at the end of the tunnel isn't there yet.
people are now waiting for changes, policies from Washington, and the hope that Obama + DEMs will make it happen, but no one thinks its going to be overnight.
not exactly the market conditions we need to foster a heavy porn buyers market.
saving for the future or jerking off to free flash porn movies? it's a combo affect definitely fueled by the economy.
reasonable outlook for porn :
-- tubes will redefine what members want to some degreee, upgrades to members areas is going to be a must
-- expect more sales and consolidations from programs, fewer over the top or highly expensive sites to be launching as compared to say 06/07
-- affiliate market should consolidate some, eliminating those who rely solely on the sponsor, rewarding those who innovate and follow their trends to build traffic and promotion techniques to match changes to the market
-- more DVD content will be licensed to tubes with no restriction to feed the producers / studios
-- sales will rise again, first real big recession / turmoil that adult online is exposed too ( could be 1-2 years before significant rise )
