i re read it a few times and what i think you are saying is go blueray<---component<adapter>VGA-->projector.
and not use hdfury

(correct me if i am wrong i didnt 100% follow)

the thing with HDTV and BLU-RAY is it is HDCP encryption and evrerything down the line has to be HDMI capable or it cuts it in half.

so that means blu ray>reciever>projector, and that is where the HD fury comes in. it is pretening to be HDMI all the way down the line.

blueray<---HMDI<HDFURY>VGA<pretends to be an HDMI signal)-->projector.
