man, i'm guessing u had some bad experiences. but i can assure u, food in ACTUAL thai restaurants are so good u will never forget them.
Even in the road side stalls, as long as you know what stuffs to choose u'll not go wrong. Food in S-E-Asia is nice, especially in malaysia and singapore where u can get crusines from all over the world.
There's a few restaurants i have in mind that I can introduce you to in malaysia/singapore IF you ever try to step out of ur perceived "bad food in SEAsia" thinking.
