BoFa is highly hit and miss. Some people get horror stories with them while others sing their praises all of the time and they can do no wrong. I am in the first category myself.
I do not use a national bank so I really can not help with your quest. I just personally would not go with BoFa ever again myself, nor US bank, or Wells Fargo. (assuming the last few are still around.)
