Joe Escalante

Is anybody else upset that Indie 103.1 let go of Joe Escalante's morning show "the last of the famous international morning shows?" He's an OC guy that was the bassist for the 80's punk band "the Vandals" I really liked the his show. He had David Lynch doing his weather in his unique way and Timothy Olyphant doing sports for him which was just simply ridiculous and fun and invigorating. I would wake up to the show every day as I was getting ready to take my son to school and now it's not on the air any more.

I go to sleep every night with indie 103.1 but unless they come with something proper, I will be changing my stereo to 97.1 and listening to Adam Carolla when I wake up to take my son to school. It's what we listen to in the car on the way to his school anyways, but I like listening to music when I go to bed. I've been doing that since I was 11 and used to listen to KROQ all though the 80's and early 90's, I was used to waking up to Richard Blade and Poorman and on the weekends staying up late to hear Rodney Bingenhimer with Rodney on the ROQ back in the 80's but KROQ in California hasn't been the same since Kevin and Bean became the morning DJ's. At least for me it hasn't.

The Last of the Famous International Morning Shows on Indie 103.1 was a re-birth of the old KROQ for me and will be missed. obviously the name of the show was taken from

anybody else missing this morning show?
