A friend just told me a story about her python or boa I can't remember which. She always slept with it with no problems, then one day it just stopped eating. Hadn't eaten for weeks I guess. She woke up one morning and it was stiff as a board next to her. She thought it was dead and poked it, but it was still alive.
She called the vet and told him what was going on. I guess the vet screamed at her to just get the fuck out of the house. From what he told her, the snake was sizing her up to see if it was big enough to swallow her. She shit herself and got rid of the snake.
Why in the world people keep cold blooded animals as pets and say they are friendly. All they know if to keep warm and to eat. They have no feelings, except maybe hunger.
