I didn't read that as against gays. I read that as a definition of 'marriage' set by community standards and tested by time being challanged.
the gays are actually asking that the definition of marriage be set aside and marriage then be redefined to suit their needs. so what's to stop MBLA from doing the same thing? what's to stop the 'Mormons' from doing this and getting a constitutional amendment to redefine marriage?
the reality is with Disney and several other large corporations allowing domestic partners, isn't that the same as a marriage? what a marriage provides is protection for health and legal concerns. that has nothing to do with religion in my mind. so why a marriage? why not domestic accountability regulations instead?
