Also most laptops you can downgrade to XP providing there are drivers for all the components so don't let OS be an issue. Weight, optical drives, hard drive storage and even processor are pointless to me as my desktop comp is my main machine so I do everything that means anything on it.

Here's the one I was looking at just tonight:

15.4 screen, 3GB ram, 160GB, CD/DVD writer etc. As a bonus it has a webcam, is lightweight and has pretty good battery life. Shit vid card but you have to spend quite a bit to get something decent in a laptop and I dont see much point in gaming on a laptop anyway. Not sure about the keyboard on this one but my current desktop kb is simlar to a laptop kb so I'm not to worried about it.

PS: Asus has always made kickass motherboards.. I have never heard anything about their laptop stability/reliability or the quality of their support but as far as I know they're a pretty good company and I have to assume their laptops are on par w/ their motherboards.
Just my and food for thought...
I have had horrible luck with Asus mobo's lately. My man builds systems for his job, and he's had to RMA five boards just in the last year. Asus may have been good at one time but... I personally won't ever buy one of their boards again.
