I have been working on a craft goods store in my spare time because I enjoy it, and figured make a couple extra bucks. Its been something I enjoy while getting away from the net stuff.
So I make my first sale. Already the customer wanted a similar but smaller item at half the price, I tried to be nice and helpful, and ended up making the sale on the original item which was good. I even gave them free shipping.
I sent her a paypal payment request figuring it would be easiest. The person has already told me they are afraid of giving paypal their bank info, so no problem they can just pay by credit card. Now they are telling me they paid, and it is my responsibility to deal with paypal and quit asking them questions. And the payment is not in my paypal account!
I have emailed them asking for the transaction id, and figure this entire transaction might go down in flames if my patience wears out.
And by the time paypal takes their fees, and I pay for the shipping, I'll be left with about $10 of which half is easily what the item cost to produce at rock bottom. woohoo I'm rich bitch! haha
I am barely getting started and I am already discouraged. Although I enjoy making this stuff, I don't see myself pushing a whole lot further after being reminded what real hard good customers are like. And I don't feel like creating a return policy either.
So this is a lesson to myself and a reminder why internet porn is so awesome!
and I already have xmas gifts for all the women in my family! yay!
