I know I am and anyone who knows anything about what is going on in the world and Cuba, knows this to be true as well.
But I will allow you to humor us, what is it exactly that Castro did to cripple Cuba?

The US Military base?
I will ask the same of you, what exactly did he do to cripple Cuba? If by that you mean he didn't play ball with the USA and they punished an entire nation for it, I can hardly call that his fault.
I'm not saying he is not bad for other things he has done, but what act did he do to cause all of this?

Indeed.

What Castro did was not get in bed with the USA and the country was punished for it. I've actually studied the Cuban Revolution and Fidel Castro in great detail and I have yet to find anything from him that caused the trade embargo that has held the island down for so long. The USA even bullied the rest of the world to not trade with Cuba as well for all these years, just recently other countries grew balls and started to trade with Cuba.
If you (or the other guys who think Castro is to blame for it all) have information that is not available to the public that says otherwise, I'd love to see it. I'm NOT pr-Castro by any means, but I don't fault him for the extreme poverty there and lack of trade with the country.

Agreed.

Exactly. And that can not even be said for "the greatest country on earth."

You are dead right Jim. But I still enjoy the charm of the place. At least until the Americans run in and strip it of all that makes it charming.
