i'm sorry tala, but your own statement says it all... if your beloved friends come to harm being put in a dangerous position, you can blame your "commander in chief" for risking their lives unnecessarily for his administrations own reasons. just because "they are there", you think that gives there presense any justification, or credence in the worlds eyes..? sadly, not... nor will that protect them from the most dangerous element in these circles, friendly-fire..

Do you dispute that Saddam is evil?
Is it just and honorable to depose evil?
Is not the stated goal of the war to depose Saddam?
Therefore, this is a war to depose evil and is thus just and honorable.

sorry netrodent, but this barely even deserves a response... you obviously never took any logic classes at the university. go and ask around... you will find that Shrub himself is being considered pretty "evil" by many varied peoples around the globe, including some within the states here. is it just and honorable to depose evil? what the fuck. knights of the roundtable? is it your position that america deserves to lay judgement as to what is good or evil outside her own sphere of influence? your conclusion is reached w/ circular and self-serving logic... not too surprising, i've been seeing the same shit on CNN for 2 years now.
i for one, as an american, am embarassed as hell about the current situation..
