It is totally overwhelming.
Here is what you can do. Find something you are passionate about (in terms of helping others) and do it. Help every chance you get. Find the right organizations or do what you can, anyway you can.
If you want my honest opinion, and it is based on my personal experience with these girls, and that is that most of them are a lost cause. Let the groups who are already in place try to save them and if they can, they will. You nor I are not gonna do much to save them the same as you nor I can stop a dam from bursting by sticking a finger in a leaking hole.
I support children. I sponsor several shelters in Thailand and Loas and just about to start in Cambodia thanks to GXbill Sam's sister who hooked me up with some proper groups in Phenom Phen. Get them young while you can still make a difference is what I think. Saving a girl from a life of forced prostitution or labor is something I am unable to do unless someone gives me a tactical unit (and diplomatic immunity) to extract them from their location and deliver them to a house where they will be cared for. Buuuuut.... that ain't gonna happen and saving slaves is not MY passion.
As horrible as it is (slavery), there is too much money in it and too many serious criminals behind it to stop it. It can break your heart if you really think about it too much. But what can you do? I'm not gonna get killed by the Yakuza in Japan for trying to stop their flow of sex slaves into the country.
