In response to your quote earlier, sometimes it takes a "movie" (or book) to open a person's eyes to the situation. Kite Runner REALLY got me thinking about Afghanistan
Anyway, though the movie is a far cry (or not, I don't know) from an accurate representation, it does start the ball rolling so that one can continue his/her investigations.
I asked about it here because I figured that a person or two on this board (comprised of men in porn) has been to a whorehouse and that many would have been exposed to this terrible form of slavery. I could read about it on Wikipedia, but it's not the same.
I am naive about a lot of things, but I try my best to continue my education to understand the world better!
So, if people KNOW that these women are trafficked, what do you do to help them? Or, as someone says, nobody cares?
