There are numerous reasons why we're going to war with Iraq and defending Israel is not one of them. We've sent troops to defend muslims during four conflicts but not once to defend Israel against hostile Arab neighbors.
The U.S. needs a strong military presence in the Middle East. And, right now we rely heavily on the Saudis. We don't want to. They're a corrupt nation that breads little anti-american future terrorists. Moreover, troops in Saudi Arabia, home of Islam's holiest places (yeah, btw....Jerusalem is not one of them), Mecca, Medina, etc. has long been seen as a provocation against Islam.
So let's get the fuck out and set up shop in secular Iraq.
