You have to play to learn mostly. Take the bad beats, with the big wins.

Set a limit... Set it low. $20.00 or something. Do your best to see as many flops as possible, without spending much. Once you see your cards, THINK about what could someone else possibly have that could beat you???? If there's a few hands out there that can beat yours, either fold, or make your decision based on how the other person is betting. Some people bet strong to try and buy the pot when they know you could possibly take them. Learn when to CALL, RAISE or RE-RAISE! That's very important. Don't fold when someone raises you. That's what they are trying to get you to do. Use logic, and read people to make informed decisions about when to bet.
