Hey SnakeDoctor (did you snag that nick from the tv show The Unit btw) - you didn't read all of my post or you would have seen that I have voted for Democrats before. The discussion we had was over Obama's "fix the world poverty" bill that would raise taxes. That bill's current status:
This bill was considered in committee which has recommended it be considered by the Senate as a whole. Although it has been placed on a calendar of business, the order in which bills are considered and voted on is determined by the majority party leadership. Keep in mind that sometimes the text of one bill is incorporated into another bill, and in those cases the original bill, as it would appear here, would seem to be abandoned. Now consider that Obama does get elected President and one of his good ol' boys becomes the majority party leadership - that sucker could come back to life reeeeal quick.
Obama is campaigning that he won't raise taxes on anyone earning less than $250K/year. Is that double talk or what?
