I used to have very bad acid reflux. It would wake me up 5 out of 7 nights/week. Then my cardiologist turned me on to the absolute most effective thing I've ever taken and it is called Protonix 40mg

It's not over the counter and it's not cheap but it is worth its' weight in gold. Been on it for 4 years and haven't had acid reflux since I started it.

I've done the Zantac's (best of the group), Prilosec, Gaviscon, Tums, Pepcid AC. In comparison, they're all bologna and Protonix is Fillet Mignon.
