I know what you are saying. Compared to real models and the hot girls I know, she isn't attractive. She is thick (legs & trunk), ok face and no real curves in addition she is kind of old.
I think it is just "relative" attractiveness. There aren't any other good looking women in the national political arena, so she seems hot. She is also a lot younger than any of the old hags holding a national office. And for the final kicker, you put her face right up next to that crusty, old ass, soggy, decaying face of McCain and she looks SUPER HOT!!!
There is also sexiness aspect to power. She appears to have some power so that makes her more desireable. I don't know, just my guess.
You take Palin out of that political world and put her in a model show, or in Victoria's Secret and men everywhere would go soft.
Her fat ass and manish features would repulse you.
