a large % waiting over 6mnths for a damn surgery? BBC, does it get much more "credible" than them?
Anybody who has seriously put thought into universal healthcare CANNOT be for it. It is a good "theory" but in "theory" so is communism but at the end of the day shit doesn't work like it "should" It might sound great to get everybody healthcare but at the end of the day its a BAD idea because like or not it'll come out of your pocket! At least with this current system we have a CHOICE of if we want it to come out of our pocket or not.

When my wife had a thyroid problem it was feb, she didnt see the actual doctor until august.
We sat in the hospital after having us sit there for 9 hrs. The doc comes to tell my dad its cancer and it looks bad. Then in the same breath says it can take 2 weeks to a month to see the specialist.
My mother who works for a big fish in the atl medical industry and called in favors for him. Then he saw a the specialist the next day.
They gave him 3 to 6 months now he is going strong almost a year and half now but he owes that time to my mother who has been a pit bull for him. If he didnt have a wife with the connections she has and the ability to get in peoples faces. He would of been screwed.
This is all with medical insurance isnt it great.
