1)Are you familiar with the actual details of this? WAGES for people such as Nurses will go to hell along with increasing their workload.
2) SICK people will be put on a waiting list to get help. Surgeries that are NEEDED you won't get for MONTHS
3) When healthcare is "free" people go to the hospital for BULLSHIT Reasons. WIthout insurance I've skipped going for the hospital for BROKEN bones which have caused some long term problems but I didn't want to pay for them to do shit that I figured I could do at home. I've even had shoulder dislocations put back in myself. The last time I went I had stepped on a long rusty object and I waited over a week to go when I had red lines going up my leg.
As an example, poor people with the free healthcare bring their kids in over every sneeze and cold. Healthcare system will simply be overwhelmed.
- The real solution to healthcare? 2 things 1)Put caps on lawsuits and make it a LOT harder to sue your doctor. Lawsuits have driven insurance up to insane levels for dr's. My wife has even been dragged into some of the dumbest lawsuits.
2)On top of that simply reduce costs of meds! If Mexico and the rest of the world can get these drugs so much cheaper why the hell cant we? Don't force us to make up all the "research" costs, spread it evenly throughout the world!
Health insurance is completely unaffordable for most people. It would be possible to OFFER a government oversight solution like medicare to the nation but not make it paid for by tax payers! make them pool the monthly fee like a traditional health insurance plan only use low oversight, not for profit oversight to that pool. I am NOT for taking tax dollars and putting it into healthcare.
