Right now we are in the 9/11 type mode. When that attack happened everyone just stopped what they were doing and started at the TV screen around the clock. After a few weeks things started getting back to normal. If the stock market starts a slow rebound and the bailout plus the free market and whatever else happens helps to loosen up the credit markets the news will get better and the news will stop sounding like the apocalypse news network and scaring the shit out of everyone.
