www.metalmethod.com for some excellant instructional DVDs. They have a link to a message board where you can ask questions as well. The basic course is well worth the money. Youtube is a real good spot to learn certain things like a main riff or solo from a song you like, or how to play certain scales. A real easy one is Slither from Velvet Revolver, taught by Slash himself -

Taking you guitar to a pro guitar tech is also well worth the money, usually costs about $50 and they normaly let you watch and answer your questions. A good guitar tech really makes a world of difference in how your instrument plays. Just getting the string tension right, getting the string action lowered, the truss rod adjusted correctly, and getting the intonation set correctly really makes a huge difference.
