My cousins live right over there near Munich, recent USA transplants.

They go on about how family oriented it is there, how no grocery stores or any stores are open after work during the week, and closed on the weekends. They bragged about how great it is, and your job understands things and will let you off to go grocery shopping.

then they had to borrow a car, and drive over an hour on a sunday to some airport to get supplies, when the wife was pregnant.

uhuh, yeah its awesome there. If you just want to drink beer all the time and join a rowing team or bake cookies.
nowhere is perfect. They went there for good jobs and free healthcare, but I don't know how native Californian's are going to stand getting fat and living in the village like that forever. Riding bikes through the snow and shit, yikes.
