if it can be broken - you still lost to the freeloaders ( ie. pirates, theives, and torrents) but you also paid for the technology/licensing and the overhead/implementation - so yes, you lost more

ummm. I don't know about this statement - not much point in the whole DRM concept if you can just turn it off.
