I asked this on a boston board but they are 9 to 5ers so not a soul there so taking a shot here.
Shorty my 6 yr old boston had two pimple like bumps on his head. one looked swollen and made his eye look puffy. I take him to the Doc and he says looks like a infected bug bite or he got into something like a prickly bush. He tells me to give him 1 zeinqin a day.
I gave him one later that night and a little while later he seemed very droopy. In the morning I call the vet because he seems very listless. He says it the drug and its ok. Had some business to take care of, when I got home. He looked worse even more listless, just standing around and wouldn't eat a snack he loves. So I call the doc he isnt in,so another vet is there and says bring him in.
We go in his temp is 103 and she says he must be having a reaction to the med. Dont give him anymore and start the new one tomorrow but for the swollen lid you can give him half a bendryl.
I gave it to him and now he just sleeping on my bed. I call him he barely lifts his head.
I will have to take him back to the vet if he is still like that. Does any one know how long zeinqin stays in his system? Ive also never gave him bendryl before would it make him so tried?
