I agree. I don't think there is anything more pathetic than a campaign event. You have all these people cheering someone who really could give two shits about them. They spew bullshit about helping them, but they don't care. They'd slit a throat for an extra vote come November.
There is a big difference, although that's more based on what personality types go toward each party. Democrats fall in love with their candidates while Republicans fall in line.
