I really envy you guys who get to shoot from comfy studios and rooms big enough to use more than 2 lights. One of these days when I'm done with my Asian tour of duty I'd like to work in that environment.

Dude!! I started in hotel rooms. I would pay $110 for the and night. I shot at the Extended Stay in Woodland Hills. It had a kitchen and i would tip the bed and set up backdrop for picks. I dragged in lights an strobes. The hotel was my studio.
I way put my time in. Me, Bobby Manila, Jimmy lifestyles and a few others started out as hotel shooters. We all laugh about it now, but it is really tough to break in to this business. You need to put your time in.
i did, thats why i own 2 cushy studios built out the way i like.
