for the whole industry to be considered healthy, you have to look at the big programs and the general porn stats (not niches)

I'd agree with that. There are definitely not enough niche areas to support everyone.
As for the dating and cam sites, I feel those have peaked like you said. The dating sites I think can't really go on much further IMHO. I do feel if there are some technological improvements and the quality of cams go up, they could almost save the industry. Not sure where that would come from, but some new compression that makes cams look like tube site clips and they would really catch fire. More cam buyers mean more guys per room, which means the price would come down per minute. It could be huge. I see this as a big part of the future.
