RAID is NOT a substitute for backups!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Make sure you understand this!
RAID does NOT substitute for backups, EVER! You have to have backups of your data all on their own.
So unless you have TWO separate machines each with the SAME content running independent of each other (IE: if the other is hacked and files compromised, it still doesnt affect the second), you could still be fucked.
So many people come to me saying "RAID-1 for backups, please". Don't make this mistake people, it could cost you your data!!
