You and many other people are twisting what he said to make him look bad. He did not say fdr addressed the country the day of the crash although that is what you and many others who play the political game try to make simple minds think he said. He is talking about when fdr started to clean up the mess of the crash and addressed the problems and what happened.
The tv remark could have been an easy mistake by anyone. That was a long time ago and people today forget there was a time the president addressed the country in front of the radio not a tv.
