I see it the same way, although .com is still unbeatable, there are a few really interesting domains with "unusual" extensions.
For .biz, .info or now .pro it's all about dictionary words that fit the ending. Marketing.biz, phone.mobi, golf.pro, pregnancy.info, you get the idea. So, there are certainly good .pro domains, but their number is very limited compared to the usual suspects.
