He said that he's still planning to have the debate, and that presidents are supposed to be able to do more than one thing at a time, and just because you're working on one problem doesn't mean you can suspend all the others.

He also implied that McCain was overreacting by calling everything off and flying back to Washington. He said that if Washington needs him he'll go at a moments notice, that both him and Mccain have big planes that can both get them to D.C. in a hurry.
