I went to a McCain town hall meeting in July and an Obama rally last week. (I'm a dem but wanted to see the opposition for myself). No comparison at all, McCain was all smoke & mirrors and tricks, no substance. Obama had clean & clear plans for a broad range of issues, and was realistic about them and the time it will take to achieve them.
When Biden was on meet the press he spoke substance, plans, results, track records.... politics, for 1 hour straight. And his speeches are very direct, there's no question about who he is and what he stands for.
Palin is a joke, she gets a few minutes with 'Charly' and can't even get through that without revealing her inadequacy for Veep. She just got her passport last year and only started meeting with national leaders YESTERDAY, and behind closed doors by order of the McCain campaign. She parades for cameras but isn't allowed to host fundraisers. Not even her own party has confidence in her, but they want us to. And I won't even get into all of the verified lies she's spewed out in the last 3 weeks.
(...and the idea of watching McSAME speeches for the next 4 years, with his compulsive blinking and dropping "my friends" every 3rd word turns my stomach).
Obama '08.
