I think it is totally reasonable for a girl to want to know your pay scale and expectations. She does not want to waste her time on a meeting any more than you want to waste yours. That said, of course, you can't ethically guarantee something that you are unsure of. Any reasonable person should understand that it is wrong to ask you to make a promise you might not be able to keep. I would give her general parameters of what you are thinking of, but never ever make promises until you have the information necessary to know you can keep your word. My
