russia can never be trusted no matter what.
France and germany are basically the same. Their politicians are openly anti-american. They are looking out for their own interests and hurting allies. Part of 'old europe' which basically wants europe to be more powerful than usa and not be influenced by usa.
I think that is all find and good, but over several years these countries have shown they are not willing to keep their backyard clean.
