GDP and economic growth. Granted, the EU does have a slightly higher GDP, but soley as a result of population. Three big EU countries will post consecutive LOSS quarters. Their rate of growth is currently not as strong as it is in the USA.
Americans still have the most purchasing power too. You'd have to be making more on the order of $140,000 a year to have the purchasing power of an American making $100,000.
Despite all the doom and gloom, the US will still experience a higher level of economic growth this year than either the EU or say Canada.
So now why don't you tell me what makes you think the US economy is NOT the strongest?
