Stories like these are exactly why the media sensationalizes every story. People eat it up. There are plenty of legitimate things and issues to bash Palin about, things that can actually be proven, like policies and voting records... and yet we still gather around the "it may be true drama gossip" like vultures.
Hey, if she seriously spent $50,000 of the city's money redecorating her office for absolutely no reason... let's get some proof and tear her apart. Until then, why don't we focus on the things that can actually be proven?

people eat it up because many around them present these stories as fact, minimizing/ignoring anything that contradicts the BS
they want you to believe. why focus on legitimate issues when you can use your name to give validity to a specious story? why focus on things that CAN be proven when biased opinions are considered fact? people are stupid. people are lazy. this country will fail sooner or later and the "us vs them" mentality is only speeding up our downfall. sadly, ignoring facts or the lack there of seems to be the standard operating procedure in the US and we all know how well that worked for Bush.
