I get the feeling that Musharaff was actually kicked out by the US.

It was with US backing that Benazir Bhutto foolishly went back to Pakistan to be
killed. Why the fuck would Musharaff want her back in the country?

The US wanted Bhutto in because the US thought Musharaff wasn't doing enough.

So the US got what it wanted and now Pakistan is ready to fire on US troops at sight.
