I love Pulp because of the beautiful melodies and incredible lyrics that express the pains and perversions of lust, aging, and regret like no one ever has. From a technical standpoint Jarvis Cocker's chord progressions are very unusual and deceptively simple. Full of weird and constant changes between major and minor keys within the same measures. I Spy, This Is Hardcore, and Underwear are examples of that and I believe those songs have some of the best progressions and arrangements in the history of pop music.
