i sat through Hurricane Juan and Andrew, hurricane Juan hit us on grand isle twice. island was under 4 feet of water, i was there for 3 eeks with no power etc...I was 10
look up the damage from those.
My family lives in two of the most devastated regions when hit in Luisiana, Grand Isle and Lafite/Barataria
Lafitte was only allowed back in to homes yesterday at noon or so...
these areas were once protected by wetlands, but not any longer
