This is the point. If McCain wins the democrats will still control Congress. So McCain is not going to get the tax plan he wants anyways since it's CONGRESS that passes tax bills not the President. All he can do is veto any tax bill that Congress passed. I doubt Congress will have the 67% to override a veto so that would mean they'd both have to compromise now wouldn't it? That's not necessarily a bad thing.
