So essentially, you've got a window from around sunset until 11:30 or so. As you may know if you've rolled through there a few times, the run-up onto the bridge is rather long. We learnt that you can't trust the timetimes - on the run-on, and the run-off, we had trains hammering down on us. The climb is most exhilarating, and the view isn't that bad either. If you're ever board and out that way....
