What is "better quality" ?
Some think it's HD cameras with crap lighting and the content still a girl on a sofa type porn. But it's HD so it has to be better.
Some think it's high production and lots of money. One top producer from the old days is convinced dubbing over the girls fake moans in a film that costs thousands, and I don't mean two, is the way forward.
Some think it's shooting a niche no one else is shooting. Because few buy it.
You're right, it's governed by the customers. Obviously the above is dead right better quality and all those companies shooting the above are selling hand over fist.
I have been formulating an idea that I will be shooting a few test scenes of soon. Then we will see if it's better quality. I go by the consumer buying.
