She's basically telling you she disrespects you for not having a career which brings social prestige. When she gets the chance, she'll leave you for someone who does have such a career. Lawyer, doctor, politician, bureaucrat, etc. She wants someone who will impress strangers at parties by merely stating his job. She wants people to look at her and her partner, and say "Gee, what a lovely, successful couple!"
