Sure, but he could at least dumb down his message and co-opt catchphrases the same way the "change" mantra was co-opted from him by McCain.

The Palin pic was genius. Whether it will cost or win the election remains to be seen. I think she'll be able to hold her own. It's the national stage now, but she's obviously a very adept politician.

I'm not sure if his position is that Iraq is almost won, or that the US needs to get out to compel Iraqis to take control of their own government and future.

Obama could make a similar case. He came from essentially a broken/eccentric home but has led a clean family life of his own. A complete nuclear home, wife and kids, the Christian way.
Palin could be a 15-minutes of fame syndrome that is so common in America or she could prove to be a force for many years to come. Only time will tell.
