Press Ctrl-Shift-Delete.
Read the checkboxes. Press the buttons.
Then, go Edit -> Preferences, Privacy.

There is no spoon. FF3 changed from the old 'bookmarks' format to a more custom XML format for even the bookmarks; practical upshot is that worthless software is even more worthless now.
