If, when you say Obama is done, you mean done campaigning for the day, then yes, you are correct.
If you meant to imply that McCain was going to win this election, you're delusional.
I obviously don't have a crystal ball or anything, but ANY professional political operative, from either party, will tell you off the record that the republicans have no chance this year. They're going to get creamed, and that starts at the top of the ticket.
Things are fucked up and the voters want their pound of flesh, and they're going to take it out on whoever happens to be on the ballot in November.
The mood of the electorate this year is a hybrid between 1980 and 1994, with the end result being, the incumbent party is going to lose, and lose huge.
